What is an Episcopal School?
St. Mary's is proud to be an Episcopal school, carrying on the more than 300-year tradition of Episcopalians providing excellence in education. Episcopal schools are a concrete expression of the Church's care for young people and their families and are of the belief that God calls us to love all of God's children. Our desire is to show each child that they are a holy person, set apart by God for a special purpose.
As an Episcopal school, we embrace a style and culture that is unique to other private schools.
Inclusivity and diversity are hallmarks of an Episcopal school and are tenets that matter deeply to us as we welcome children and families of all faith traditions and backgrounds to St. Mary's. Each and every student at St. Mary's is beloved, known, and an important part of our community.
St. Mary's School began within the walls of St. Mary's Church - a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma. We are thankful for our relationship with the church and the Episcopal Diocese, which keeps us connected to the history, tradition, and stability of the Episcopal Church.
By incorporating the principles of regular worship, strong community life, and religious study into the fabric of our school, we solidify our foundation - one that is built upon Christian love and guides children to find purpose, meaning, and their place in the world.
