Yes, St. Mary's is accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, which is recognized by the National Association of Independent Schools and the State of Oklahoma. St. Mary's is also a certified school of the Oklahoma Commission of Episcopal Schools. 

St. Mary's Episcopal School welcomes students and families of all denominations and faith traditions. 

All families are always welcome to attend services at St. Mary's Episcopal Church

Yes! Through our award-winning before and after school care program, Beyond the Classroom (BTC), students can come early and stay late. 

Students enrolled in BTC can come to school as early as 7:15 a.m. and stay as late as 6:00 p.m. More details on BTC can be found here. 

St. Mary's Episcopal School is exceptional due to our exceptional faculty and staff. We strive to attract and hire the very best educators for our students. Our teachers are career-educators who hold teaching certifications, and many also have their master's degrees. In addition to our classroom teachers, our school is enhanced by teaching assistants, and administrative staff, and support staff. 

Class sizes are capped at different levels by age and are as follows:

Early Threes: 12 students
Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten: 16 students
1st-5th Grade: 18 students

          Early Threes  –  6 to 1
          Preschool – 8 to 1
          Pre-Kindergarten – 10 to 1
          Kindergarten – 12 to 1
          First Grade – 14 to 1
          Second to Fifth Grade – 18 to 1

All grade levels start their school day at 8:15 a.m., which is when carpool begins each morning. 

Early Threes, PreSchool & Pre-K students end their day at 2:15 p.m. These students also have the option of enrolling in extended hour which extends their day to 3:15 p.m.

Kindergarten - 5th grade students end their day at 3:15 p.m.

The best time to begin the application process for enrollment at St. Mary's is the fall prior to the year you wish your child to start. Applications for a school year in progress will be accepted if space is available in a particular grade level.

Yes, the age requirements are as follows:

          Early Threes  –  two and a half years old on or before September 1
          Preschool – three years old on or before September 1
          Pre-Kindergarten – four years old on or before September 1
          Kindergarten – five years old on or before September 1
          First Grade – six years old on or before September 1

Need-based financial assistance is available on a limited basis for students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade with an applications due March 15 through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Members of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church may also qualify for assistance.

We also offer tuition discounts for:

  • Families with three or more children enrolled at SMES
  • Active-duty military members

Yes! We are proud to offer a military discount to children of active-duty servicemen and women. The discount is 10% for the first year of enrollment, 15% for the second year of enrollment, and 20% for the third year of enrollment (and beyond).
