Enrichment

Enrichment

Enrichment Opportunities

At St. Mary’s, our enrichment classes are joyful opportunities for students to uncover their unique gifts and passions through hands‑on, expert‑led learning. We believe children flourish when they explore new subjects and discover their talents in a supportive and playful environment.

Enrichment Classes

Art

Starting in Kindergarten, students receive weekly instruction from our dedicated art teacher, where creativity meets curiosity. Through projects in drawing, painting, 3‑D media, and art history, students develop critical thinking, independence, attention to detail, and an appreciation for diverse cultures and ways of seeing the world. Art at St. Mary’s doesn’t just complement academics—it enriches it by weaving together multiple disciplines in imaginative and inspiring ways.

Library

Nestled in the heart of our campus, the library is more than a place—it’s a sanctuary of stories, imagination, and lifelong learning. Our motto, “Library Day is Every Day,” invites students to wander in, explore at their pace, and follow their curiosity whenever time allows. With a caring librarian, a welcoming space, and rich digital resources available for at‑home access, the library encourages each child to dream, grow, and find joy in reading.

Music

In our vibrant music and program, students immerse themselves in rhythm, voice, instruments, movement—and most importantly, confidence. From early musical exploration to grade‑level productions, your child will learn to express, perform, collaborate, and shine. Drama and singing build language and memory skills while nurturing self‑esteem and creativity.

Physical Education

With 51 acres to roam and play, St. Mary’s is a natural playground for energetic learning and healthy habits. Our campus offers basketball and four‑square courts, soccer and baseball fields, hiking trails, archery, tumbling, Pep Squad, yoga—and more. Beginning in preschool with gross‑motor skill development, and continuing through elementary grades with a dedicated P.E. teacher, our students keep moving, exploring, and having fun while staying physically fit.

Religious Education

At St. Mary’s, weekly chapel services and Monday Morning Prayer give students meaningful roles as readers, acolytes, and leaders. Children also participate in special services and seasonal celebrations, from Advent to Easter and other community observances.

These experiences help students build confidence, character, and a sense of belonging while exploring their own spiritual journey. Chapel is a time to reflect, celebrate, and connect, fostering kindness, compassion, and respect. Every voice is valued, and the whole school community comes together to grow in faith, joy, and connection.

Spanish

At St. Mary’s, Spanish begins early—starting in preschool—and grows with your child year by year. Our goal is not only for students to learn vocabulary and phrases but to embrace the cultures of Spanish‑speaking countries. With celebrations like Las  Posadas and immersive language experiences, your child develops curiosity, cultural awareness, and communication skills in a warm, welcoming classroom.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)

At St. Mary’s, curiosity leads the way in our STEAM program, where students explore, experiment, and innovate. From hands-on science experiments and engineering challenges to creative art projects and math problem-solving, children learn to think critically, collaborate, and approach problems with confidence and creativity.

Technology is woven throughout STEAM at every grade level. Beginning in preschool with age-appropriate apps and tools, and extending through elementary school with iPads, Chromebooks, coding robots, interactive boards, and even 3‑D printing, students gain confidence and fluency in the digital world. They don’t just use technology—they create with it, designing projects, solving challenges, and seeing the real-world impact of their ideas.

Our STEAM program sparks imagination, inspires discovery, and helps students see the exciting connections between subjects—showing them that learning can be playful, meaningful, and limitless.

We invite you to imagine your child in this vibrant mix of programs—growing, exploring, and discovering in a community that cares. At St. Mary’s, enrichment isn’t an afterthought—it’s an integral part of how we help every student thrive.
