HELP US GROW (HUG) CAMPAIGN
In October of 2009, after a comprehensive feasibility study and many hours in strategic planning, the St. Mary’s School Board passed a motion to begin growing our school older and bigger. Specifically, board members voted to add a Middle School Division by offering sixth grade in the fall of 2011, with seventh and eighth grades to be added over the next two academic years. The plan was contingent upon receiving gifts and pledges of $150,000 or more from parents, grandparents, friends and alumni by September 30, 2010. Nearly $200,000 was raised, then matched with reserve funds to kickoff the initial expansion. Construction was completed in August of 2011. The first inaugural sixth grade class stepped into the new expansion on August 22nd, 2011.
