Extracurricular Activities and Clubs

Archery Club

Students learn how to hold, aim and shoot a bow and arrow. There will be opportunities to participate in archery tournaments throughout the year.  Available for 3rd through 5th grade students.

 
Art Club

Students Kindergarten through 5th grade enjoy this after school program where they get to specialize in specific art techniques and projects. Let your little artiste express his or her creativiy with the arts! Enrollment fees and appropriate forms are due prior to the beginning of class.

 
Chess Club

Available for 1st through 5th grades. This is for beginners as well as those who would like to sharpen or learn a few new skills. We will have a chess coach instructing us each week. As it is a learning environment, it is necessary to maintain the classroom atmosphere. Enrollment fee and form are required prior to beginning of session.

 
Cooking Club

Students learn scientific concepts such as weights and measures, mixtures, solutions, chemical reactions and physical reactions while preparing simple recipes - and eating them too! Available for 2nd through 5th grade students.

 
Encore

Encore is St. Mary’s elite music performance ensemble. Rehearsal is every week and the groups have many performances in school and in the community throughout the year. Encore is for grades 2nd through 5th. Enrollment fees and forms are due at the time of enrollment.

 
Encore Junior

Encore Junior is for grades Pre-Kindergarten through 2nd. Students experience the same program but on different rehearsal days. Enrollment fees and forms are due at the time of enrollment.

 
Lego Club

Available to students Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade, this club meets on specified days for an hour after school. Students are encouraged to bring their own LEGOs. Parents may drop off clearly labeled containers of LEGOs before school on meeting mornings. Enrollment fees and forms are due prior to the beginning of session.

 
The Sewing Guild Levels I and II. 

Students learn the basics of hand stitching by creating several different fun projects.  Once students have mastered the basics, they will tackle more difficult (but still fun!) projects.

 
Odyssey of the Mind

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative, collaborative, problem-solving activity for students kindergarten through fifth grade. Students work to solve a problem in the most creative way possible for regional and state competitions. Enrollment forms are due prior to beginning of session and fees are due upon acceptance into the program.
